Jo Jo

Joe (Jo Jo) -  Neutered Male.  Approximate DOB is 6/1/2024.  JoJo is current on his vaccines and has tested Negative for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV).  JoJo is Grey and White and is a big boy !!!

LAS received a call in February from a person concerned that JoJo had a sore on his left leg.  He was out in the cold all winter and they had seen him off and on and were concerned.  We went out and got him and took him directly to the Vet who sedated Joe and cleaned and treated the wound and we brought him back to our shelter to recover.  He was thin and his coat was thin and the pads on his feet needed to heal from the cold, we just gave him time to recover and hang out awhile!!  Who left him out there not neutered and in the cold.  So hard to imagine his life.

And what a gift we got!   JoJo, turns out, was the sweetest, lovey, big boy!!! He just loves attention!!  He is very social, loving, playful and certainly handsome!  He is not aggressive at all.  Nothing but purrs and to roll over when you pet him.  Just nothing but rave reviews at our shelter!

JoJo would do well with another social cat given proper introductions.  He would do well with young people - again, proper introductions to them.  He would LOVE to have a real home and family!  We have no idea on interaction with dogs.  If you’d like to meet JoJo or any of our other adoptable cats and kittens, please complete a pre-adoption application on our website:

Roman

Roman - Neutered Male.  Approximate DOB: 11//1/2021.  Roman is current on his vaccines and has tested Positive for Feline Aids (FIV) and Negative for Feline Leukemia (FELV). He had a Dental in February and is doing great!  He’s a short-to medium haired Buff-Orange tabby.
Note that FIV Positive cats can live a long and normal life indoors with regular good care by his family and a safe loving environment!  Learn more about FIV here .

Here’s Roman's story as sent by his rescuer:  Roman was rescued from a feral colony living behind an apartment complex in the local community. After feeding him just a few times, he walked up and willingly went right into a carrier, probably saying "get me out of here"!!
Roman did test FIV positive. His skin was initially covered in spots of inflammation and dermatitis, causing hair loss and scabs. With trimming and brushing, his coat has grown back in fully and is very soft.

Roman can best be described as a love bug!  When comfortable, he loves to be held like a baby so he can rub his head on your chin or glasses. He is not a fan of a lot of commotion, but comes around very quickly for pets or treats. When his cage is opened, he will stand and stretch his paws up to “give a hug” and get cuddles. He has never minded other cats and would likely do well with a proper introduction.

Cases like Roman's remind us how often we’re surprised. We didn’t expect the Dental he needed to be pain-free—and we certainly didn’t expect him to become such a sweetheart!!  But we’re all in now. He deserves a wonderful life.

Roman would do best in a calm home with a loving family (no really young children, please). He will need time to adjust, but he has so much love to give.
If you’d like to meet Roman or any of our other adoptable cats and kittens, please complete a pre-adoption application at www.loveastraycat.com.

Tommy

Tommy - Neutered Male.  Approximate DOB: 12//1/2021.  Tommy is current on his vaccines and has tested Positive for Feline Aids (FIV) and Negative for Feline Leukemia (FELV). He had a Dental in February due to a broken tooth and is doing great!  He’s a SH haired Buff and White.

Note that FIV Positive cats can live a long and normal life indoors with regular good care by his family and a safe loving environment! Learn more about FIV here .

Here’s Tommy's story as sent by his rescuer:  Tommy was rescued from an area in a local community where we had done a number of both rescues and TNR of feral cats in the neighborhood months before finding Tommy.  We think he wanted out of there!! It was New Years Eve and we were his New Year's Resolution!!

Tommy did test FIV positive. His coat was dirty and his fur not full and soft like it is now!!!  With trimming and brushing, his coat has grown back in fully and is very soft.
Tommy is a busy guy and loves attention and to play.  He can best be described as a wanting love and attention!  He is a big guy!  He is not a fan of a lot of commotion, but comes around very quickly for pets or treats.

Cases like Tommy's remind us how often we’re surprised. We didn’t expect the Dental he needed to be pain-free—and we certainly didn’t expect him to become such a good boy!!  But we’re all in now. He deserves a wonderful life off the streets and out of the cold.
Tommy would do best in a calm home with a loving family (no really young children, please). Best with no dogs to adjust to. He will need time to adjust, but he has so much love to give.
If you’d like to meet Tommy or any of our other adoptable cats and kittens, please complete a pre-adoption application at www.loveastraycat.com.

Crystal

Crystal - Spayed Female.  Approximate DOB is 11/23/2023.  Crystal is current on her vaccines and has been tested for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia(FELV) and is Negative.  Crystal is a MH Black and is just beautiful!

Crystal came to Love-A-Stray when rescued from the cold in November with no shelter, trying to live outside with 5 babies...outside of an apartment complex in a local community.  - no food, water or shelter and at the beginning of the worst of the cold weather.  Luckily, a kind person living at the complex contacted us and one of our volunteers went and got Mom and all 5 babies. She was rescued and we knew that meant that life would get so much better for her and her kittens!

She received all the care needed - Good food, water, warmth and lots of love. She is beautiful now with all of her hair grown back from being outside!  She is also now sweet and social!  Crystal loves attention and her toys, and lots of pets!  She jumps down from her shelf to greet you and often flops over once the pets begin!! She is so very ready for her forever home.  She would do well in a home with a family that has love to give her!  She will need time to adjust to her new family.  Likely no small children and she does not care for other cats much.

If you’d like to meet Crystal or any of our other adoptable cats and kittens, please complete a pre-adoption application on our website: www.loveastraycat.com.

Reva

Reva - Spayed Female.  Approximate DOB is 2/1/2024.  Reva is current on her vaccines and has been tested for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV) and is Negative.  Reva is a SH Black Tuxedo.
Reva was one of our rescues of this very difficult freezing, cold winter. On a January night when it was to be minus 8,  we received a call about a cat sitting outside a window on the ledge and crying continuously.  We asked the caller if they would at least take her in for the night - the answer was "No"...So sad. One of our Volunteers went out early the next morning and got Reva - she had made it through that night.  She was happy to be warm and fed almost instantly!

Reva is a bit shy to start off, but has so much love to give! She will come to the front of her cage for pets and treats and to play with the wand toy!  Once she is comfortable, she will lean and rub into your hand once you start petting her, and that’s when the purrs come out! She reaches out and touches your head as well !!  She doesn't seem to mind other cats and would likely do well with another friendly cat and proper introductions. She had a rough start in life and will continue to grow into her new life!  Reva would surely love to have her very own home. She will need time to adjust to a new family and slow introductions to another cat.  She would probably do best with no dogs.
If you would like to meet Reva, or any of our other adoptable cats and kittens, please complete a pre-adoption application on our website: www.loveastraycat.com.

Mindy

Lill and Mindy - Spayed Females.  Approximate Date of Birth - 2/18/2022. Lill and Mindy are each current on their vaccines and each has been tested for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV) and are Negative.
Lill is a SH Brown Tabby.  Lill, in addition, had a full Dental and multiple extractions.  Her little tongue partially hangs out when she is relaxed!!
Mindy is a SH Tabby and White.
Lill and Mindy came in from a rescue of 4 cats and 1 Kitten from a home where it seemed they were cared about - but no vet care was provided and they were not spayed. We took all 4 cats and the kitten as the owners surrendered them.  Amazingly - They are all very social and sweet!
Lill and Mindy each come to the front of their shelter space for attention, pets and love!!  They like to play and look forward to whoever stops at their cage space!! Lill hangs back a bit - but then warms to the attention! Mindy likely pushes herself in first!
Each is available for adoption.  If you are looking for more than one - they could go together! Or if you are only looking for one that is an option.  Lill and Mindy were also raised with dogs and of course other cats and they would do well in a home with a cat friendly other cat, and/or a cat friendly dog.  Each of these girls are very much ready for a loving forever home and a good family where they will be cared for and loved !! They will need time to adjust to a new home and proper introductions to children and other pets.

If you’d like to meet Lill or Mindy, or any of our other adoptable cats and kittens, please complete a pre-adoption application on our website: www.loveastraycat.com.

Hugo

Hugo - Neutered Male.
Approximate DOB is 6/8/2025.
Hugo is current on his Vaccines.  He has been tested for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV) and is Negative.
Hugo is a SH Brown Tabby - very handsome guy!

In July of 2025 LAS took a call about a kitten in the street by a local restaurant in the community. As it turns out - there is never just 1 - sadly. The area is very busy and has a lot of traffic and the kittens would have faced a horrible outcome. LAS captured all of the kittens, and we worked with these babies to socialize them.  Hugo is one of those babies! He is now ready for his forever home. Hugo is doing well here at the shelter, and our hope is to have him go to a home and continue to have a wonderful life in a home.  He is healthy, plays, jumps into our volunteers' arms from his cage space and loves his pets.  He is an alpha cat and would likely do well as an only cat.  He will need time to adjust to a home.  If you are a cat savvy person and looking for an only kitty - he would do well with your love, patience and time!!! We doubt that he would do well with a dog.

If you are interested in meeting Hugo or any of our adoptable cats and kittens please complete a pre-adoption application on our website: www.loveastraycat.com.

Cassidy

Cassidy - Females Spayed, MH Torrie
Approximate DOB is 10/5/2025.
Current on their Vaccines and have been tested for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV) and is NEGATIVE.

Cassidy, Connor and Carney came to LAS with their other 2 siblings (now adopted) and their Mom - Crystal from a local apartment community where the tenants saw them and worried for their safety in late November.

These beautiful kittens have come a long way on their journey from when they first arrived.  They have grown socially and their personalities have really begun to expand!! The females would do well with any of their siblings if you are looking for more than one. We do believe that Connor will need a buddy and would do best with another friendly kitten or cat or one of his siblings.  He is the shyest of the family! We think that they would do best with no small children and perhaps a family who had experience with cats or kittens.  Each would love a safe and kind home and will need time to adjust to a new home and family.

If you’d like to meet Connor, Carney and or Cassidy or any of our other adoptable cats and
kittens, please complete a pre-adoption application on our website: www.loveastraycat.com.

Abigail

In June of 2025 LAS took a call at a local property in the community, and was told the Mom Cat was missing and that there were 3 kittens there about a month old.  All were captured and brought to LAS.  This litter went through some trials as they were young and have been ready for adoption and 2 are still awaiting their forever home(s).

Two Spayed Females. Approximate DOB is 5/12/2025.  Both are current on their vaccines and have been tested for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV) and are Negative. They are:
Avery - (F) SH Brown Tabby with some Orange
Abigail - (F) SH Brown Tabby

They are all doing well and are sweet and healthy and playful.
They are social, but now very much in need of homes and to get out of Shelter life.  Sadly, now approaching a year old - they have been in "the system" too long!   A bit shy at first until they know you a little!!  Just some time and love!!   They are certainly busy and come to you for attention and for treats and petting !!!  And they love their toys - especially wand toys!  They have grown into beautiful cats!! They are ready for their forever home - likely as a bonded pair.  Possibly in a home as a single each with another sweet cat!  They or Each would do well in a safe and kind home with a family that has love to give.  They will need time to adjust to a new family and slow introductions to life in a home and to other pets.
