CharlieCharlie - Neutered Male. DOB is 1/1/2023. Charlie is current on his vaccines and has been tested for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV) and is Negative. Charlie is a SH all Grey boy! His left ear is tipped - but not by choice - He had a significant wound on his ear when he arrived, which was cleaned up when he was neutered.
Charlie originally came to Love A Stray in the freezing cold of January after showing up at the home of an LAS Volunteer. Originally, we were not sure of his temperament as he was significantly beat up by (we suspect) another cat. We had him neutered and all vet care done to address his wounds. We had him at our shelter to recover. He was rereleased and subsequently came back about 48 hours later beat up again. During recovery number 2 - we noted that he was just the sweetest boy!! So different from the boy rescued in January!!! He loves attention, plays and is very social!!! He is fine with other cats on his "walk abouts" in the shelter. He puts himself back in his cage space for his canned food!!! As he gained weight and his wounds healed and his hair grew in - he looks so much better!!! He seeks out his human attention!! The LAS Volunteer who rescued him advised that when she initially had him in her home - he was a perfect gentleman with her other cat. He has been so, as well here with our others. Charlie would sure love to leave shelter life, have his very own home and a lot of love and a family!! Proper introductions to a new home, family and other pets. If you would like to meet Charlie or any other of our adoptable cats and kittens, please complete a pre-adoption application found on our website at www.loveastraycat.com |

on her vaccines and has been tested for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia(FELV) and is Negative. Mila is a SH Greyish Brown Tabby and White. With just the cutest face !!! Mila came to Love-A-Stray when rescued during what turned out to be a very large project where we received a call for a Mom and Babies that ended up being 19 cats and kittens of which Mila was one that was not feral and so very sweet and did not have kittens. We later learned that originally, she was a kitten in the home, who as she grew was put outside - not spayed or vaccinated - although they were all being fed. Luckily, we determined she was not a feral cat and kept her at our shelter for adoption along with 3 other Moms and their respective litters. She received all the care needed - Good food, water, warmth and lots of love. She is so adorable! She is sweet and social! Mila loves attention and her toys, and lots of pets! Arctic ArtieArctic Artie - Neutered Male. Approximate DOB is 12/15/2023. Arctic Artie is current on his vaccines and has been tested for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV) and is Negative. Arctic Artie is aSH Brown Tabby with a very exotic look about him. He is a big boy!!
Artie has quite a story that he came with - Love A Stray received a call, early one Friday morning from the staff at our local Home Depot that a cat was found in the trailer of a semi coming in from Cincinnati the night before, it was during subzero temperatures. The trailer had been parked overnight awaiting unloading. But further intel revealed that the trailer had been loaded and sitting in Cincinnati since the previous Monday - CLOSED up. Poor Artie spent a week in a trailer in the freezing weather with no food or water. Our Volunteer rushed and got him, by which time the staff at Home Depot had him in a Live Trap. Turned out this boy was a dream !! So sweet, so social, and just dehydrated and so very hungry. He has been just perfect through all of his vetting and care. He is learning to play again and loves attention! He doesn't mind being picked up - but he is big and it probably isn't very comfortable! He purrs instantly upon approach and just loves attention! We think he would be ok with another cat. We have no idea if he would be ok with a dog - so likely not an adoption option. Proper introductions to a new home and family and time to adjust. If you would like to meet Arctic Artie, or any other of our adoptable cats and kittens, please complete a pre-adoption application found on our website at www.loveastraycat.com |
