Looking to Adopt a Cat or Kitten?

Each Year Love A Stray gives good homes to over 400 cats and kittens.
All adoptions are made with the best interest of the cats in mind. We attempt to match the right person with the right cat.   When we
rescue homeless kittens and cats we prepare them for adoption into loving permanent homes.  We are a ALL volunteer rescue group with most of our volunteers also having full time jobs.  We do our best to help rescued cats in need, providing a foster home, food and care and medical assistance and finding them a forever home.
Each weekend, our volunteers transport approximately 15-20 adoptable cats and kittens from our shelter in Avon and from foster homes to PetSmart at Great Norther.  We also have permanent cages at that store where adoptable cats and kittens may be seen and adopted during open hours of PetSmart. (Adoptions at PetSmart are currently postponed due to COVID-19).  Cats and kittens are available for adoption at the LAS shelter in Avon by appointment only.  Please complete a pre-adoption application here to schedule an appointment to meet with our adoptable cats. You can also view our cats and kittens available for adoption on PetFinder or Adopt a Pet.

Adoption Process and our Policy:
To ensure that the cats and kittens get responsible loving homes, new guardians are required to complete an pre-adoption application and agree to the terms of our adoption contract.  Each potential adopter is interviewed by an adoption counselor.  Our goal is to match each adopter with a cat or kitten that will be perfect in the home.  Please note we do not ship our cats out of state.
